How to choose ?

The power of stones (Lithotherapy*)

has been known since prehistoric times, even though there is no scientific proof of their virtue nor the existence of a specific energy present
in these treasures born in the depths of the earth.  A real paradox!

The Language of Colors**

White

Sum of all other colors, white is a luminous color, symbol of purity. Its neutrality allows it to be used with all chakras. White allows to intensify other colors. However, it can lead to a loss of individuality. It intensifies vulnerability and, used in excess, it can decrease tolerance to difference or imperfection.

  • Examples:
    Rock crystal, Danburite, Moonstone, Selenite

  • It brings:
    Neutrality, clarification, openness, sensitivity

  • Do not use if:
Hypersensitivity, vulnerability, impressionability, lack of control

Purple

Imagination is represented by purple, the color of creativity. Also a symbol of open-mindedness, it is suitable for artists, whatever their art. However, the amount of purple must be controlled in order to keep your bearings and not get lost in your dreams. It can lead to forgetting your responsibilities or even losing touch with reality.

  • Example:
    Amethyst, Chariote, Sugilite, Tanzanite

  • It brings.
    Creativity, open-mindedness, intuition, imagination

  • Do not use if:
    Too dreamy, too imaginative, instability

Pink

Color of love and tenderness, Pink brings confidence and healing. It is a symbol of a new beginning in a relationship, but also of forgiveness. Excess Pink can lead to hypersensitivity, creating an endless loop of emotional pain. It can also lead to strong naivety, easily exploited by others.

  • Example:
Lepidolite, Pink opal, Rose quartz, Rhodochrosite

  • It brings:
    Healing, gentleness, confidence, love

  • Do not use if:
    Hyperemotionality, naivety, strong empathy

Black

Being the darkest color, black brings protection from the outside world. It offers introspection and the discovery of the deep Self. The density of this color amplifies the sensation of our body envelope. Black stones are also amazing protections against electromagnetic waves generated by our electronic and connected devices.

  • Examples:
Black obsidian, Onyx, Shungite, Black tourmaline

  • It brings:
    Reflection, introspection, step back, protection

  • Do not use if:
    Sadness, loneliness, anxiety, isolation

Light Blue

It represents serenity and brings listening and expression, thus reducing susceptibility. The abundance of light blue can lead to two extremes: excessive expression or withdrawal leading only to listening. This is why we distinguish active stones, acting on expression, and passive stones, acting on listening.

  • Example:
    Aquamarine, Blue apatite, Labradorite, Turquoise

  • It brings:
Expression, appeasement, accuracy of words, novelty

  • Do not use if:
    Loquacity, discretion, too attentive

Dark Blue

Color of the night and the sky, Dark Blue is synonymous with knowledge and wisdom. It is associated with reflection and philosophy. An excess of dark blue can lead to an utopian vision of the world or an illusion of knowledge. It is also likely to stiffen the mind, leaving room only for a vision of the world centered on false knowledge, due to erroneous reflection.

  • Example:
    Azurite, Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite

  • It brings:
Spiritual support, learning, search for meaning, listening to oneself

  • Do not use if:
Fear of experience, denial of reality, intellectual rigidity

Red

A powerful color, red is a symbol of ambition and courage. It is associated with deep energy, passion and action. Red allows you to leave apathetic by restoring motivation. However, in excess, it becomes harmful, bringing fatigue, anger or stress. In order to limit these effects, it is necessary to bring in small touches and over short periods.

  • Example:
Red aventurine, gGrnet, Red jasper, Red carnelian

  • It brings:
    Energy, courage, ambition, motivation

  • Do not use if:
    Stress, anger, hyperactivity, impatience

Green

The color of plants, Green transmits compassion and serenity. It is associated with justice and self-control, but also with the renewal of the soul and energies. Linked to plants, Green is also a symbol of healing. But, poison or remedy, it can also lead to suffering hidden by excessive control of one's emotions.

  • Example:
    Aventurine, Tsavorite garnet, Jade, Malachite

  • It brings:
Retreat, hope, immune defense, control of emotions

  • Do not use if:
Buried emotions, insensitivity, lack of empathy

Orange

Color of renewal and fertility. Orange promotes the birth of both a project and a child. Symbolizing pleasure, it also strengthens sexuality. An excess of Orange can lead to naivety, forgetting the consequences of our choices, but also to individualism because of the lack of commitment and protection in the future, which the color causes.

  • Example:
Orange Calcite, Carnelian, Fire Opal, Sunstone

  • It brings:
    Pleasure, anchoring, wonder, project creation

  • Do not use if:
    Compulsive lifestyle, carelessness, low self-control

Brown

Organization and structuring are the key words of Brown. It is an important anchor in the event of a major change, which provides reference and stability. However, Brown can lead to a routine and promote passivity, aggravating the anxiety of change and mania. Brown will reinforce the nature of homebodies by not making them change their habits.

  • Example:
    Brown agate, Fossilized wood, Bronzite.

  • It brings:
    Reference, organization, self-confidence, self-awareness

  • Do not use if:
    Routine, mania, insensitivity

Yellow

Associated with the sun, Yellow symbolizes fulfillment and communication. The color of intelligence, it allows the structuring of the mind. It is also the color of deception and superficiality. An excess of yellow leads to greed for power, intellectual fatigue, obsessive thoughts and cynicism. A meditation session is enough to chase away these effects.

  • Example:
Yellow Apatite, Yellow Calcite, Bumblebee Jasper, Tiger's Eye

  • It brings:
    Positivity, fulfilled career, self-confidence, energy

  • Do not use if:
    Search for power, superficiality, irritability

Take Care of your Gemstones

Purification**

Depending on its use and the environment in which your stone will evolve, it is necessary to maintain it by purifying it.

What is purification?

Purification is a "cleansing" that allows the stone to eliminate negative energies.

When a stone or crystal is used, it transmits its energy according to its properties. But this transfer is not one-way: the stone acts like a filter by ridding the user of heavy energies. Thus, it takes charge of energies, positive or negative, whether through direct contact with the skin or simply through its environment.

It is therefore important to purify it to eliminate unwanted energies.

Purification techniques

Be careful, some crystals and stones are more sensitive than others. Remember that not all minerals react the same way depending on their composition.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of the different ways to purify your stones and jewelry.

Sound Vibrations

Tibetan bowls, bells or gongs emit strong resonances that allow the purification of minerals. By exposing your stones and jewelry to these sound vibrations, you will drive out negative energies.

Water

Second most used principle, water carries with it the unwanted energies. Depending on the composition of the stone and the desired cleaning (more or less in depth) you can use tap water or distilled water in rinsing or bathing.

Fumigation

Use a white sage stick (or cedar or Paolo Santo): Light it on to pass your stones through the smoke. Unwanted energies dissipate and fly away as the cloud of smoke disappears. This gentle technique allows your stones to discharge bad energies without damaging them.

Quartz Crystals

Some stones have the power to purify others and act as "absorbers", but also as energy amplifiers. Simply place the stones to be cleaned on a pile of quartz or amethyst, for several hours or a whole night to eliminate negative energies.

Recharging your stones**

Once your stone has been purified, it is necessary to recharge it.

What does "recharging" means ?

A stone worn daily is drained of its vital energy and is therefore no longer able to provide the desired benefits. Recharging your gemstones allows you to restore their natural energies, to optimize their properties in order to restore their full potential.

When to recharge your stones ?

It is important to recharge your gemstones after each purification. Be careful not to recharge an unpurified stone because it risks retaining the harmful and negative energies that it may have absorbed previously and which have unbalanced it.

How to recharge your stones ?

In order to get as close as possible to the natural properties of your gemstone, we seek to infuse them with the most neutral and pure energy possible. Learn about the characteristics specific to each of your stones so as to choose the method that will not damage them. Here is a couple of examples that will not damage your jewelry :

With Crystals

Great recharging tool, certain crystals such as druzes and rock crystal or Amethyst geodes can allow you to recharge and amplify the energy of your stones, you just need to place them on the pile for several hours.

With the moon light

The Moon is a great way to recharge your gemstones. Expose them all night, preferably on a full moon night, whether indoors near a window or outdoors, to benefit from their benefits again.
